I guess I got into the hobby too late to truly experience kustoms. Therefore, I wanted to explore the world of kustoms through making them. First, by achieving the aesthetic (specifically the 356L for this one), then tweaking the sound to make it what I enjoy.
This is as much an interest check as a journal of the development process of this keyboard.
Hopefully, I will be able to offer this keyboard down the line to people who enjoy the same aesthetic and typing experience.
Still very early, and under active development!
--- S P E C S
- Adjusted front height: 21mm (v1), 21.9mm (v2)
- Typing angle: 8 degrees (hence 8 80 - 8 deg, 80%. Thanks paul for the inspo)
- Weight: 1.2kg unbuilt
- Full aluminum construction, with optional brass weight. (testing out a v2 prototype with full aluminum!)
- CONE FEET (will probably offer cones and spacers, to customize typing angle)
- Compat with H87 PCBs (with on board type-c connector) eg Hiney h87c, galatea
- Explosion diagram
--- P R I C I N G Aiming around 420USD (worst case scenario) without PCB, with hard case @ 5 MOQ
At 25 MOQ I can probably include the PCB at the same price
--- M O U N T I N G - Top mount with Jane-ish mount points. Plate will be changed to have more compat (6.25 bottom row, stepped caps, ISO etc)
- testing out hot-dog top mount (with orings in the wedges)
--- P R O T O
