Botanical Divination Deskmats



Hello Geekhack! My name is isoforms and this is my debut deskmat design.

As my first ever large-scale artistic project ever, Botanical Divination is a series of deskmats that combine delicate floral linework along with magical elements in a style that evokes antique books. When designing this, I wanted to have something on my desk that could frame my keyboard, complement elegant glassware craft beer or whiskey during late nights at my computer, or act as a soft surface when journaling with my fountain pen.

The Selection

May 26, 2021 Update: After looking over the results of the IC and talking with the main vendor for this deskmat (TheKey.Company), we settled on 4 variants for this deskmat: two inspired by beautiful stationery, and two spirit/talking board variants according to the common QWERTY keyboard layout. If you're interested in looking at the previous selection, check the Imgur link at the end of this section!

Currently, there are a total of 8 different variants for this deskmat: two inspired by beautiful stationery, and six spirit or talking board variants according to the common QWERTY, COLEMAK, and DVORAK keyboard layouts.
