5/27/26: ty everyone who filled the ic, here are the updates so far:
- moved alert row to base kit and adjusted kitting
- added concave homing to kit; now concave and bar homing
- removed dot from numpad 5; changed to bar homing
- removed accent row child kit and replaced with alertless child kit and adjusted kitting
5/27/26: part 2, added question regarding katakana alert row to ic form
5/30/26: kitting changes for base and extensions, int kit:
- base:
- changed print to prt sc
- changed 1.5 r2 backspace to text only
- added dark pip to base kit
- added dot back to numpad 5
- extensions:
- added 2x 1u alt
- added stepped control
- questions added to ic to keep row 5 or change to row 4
- for the cherry logos, currently it is evenly split for keeping modern, keeping vintage, and keeping both so no changes to them for now
- working on an int kit, will reference gmk violet alert for kitting
- considering using orange from gmk orenji or gmk kaiju if i will reduce the cost
6/2/26: color change, added nordeuk, alert and alertless in alpha kits
- change original orange (ral 2008) to gmk orenji orange (pantone 1505 c). this will reduce the cost since the pantone has been made already so no need for sampling
- added nordeuk kit based on gmk violet alert, alertless and alert row as this is an alert set
- fixed katakaka renders and added alert row because again, this is an alert set
- "this is an alert set"
6/12/26: improved 40s support, corrected renders
- added r3 1.75u enter
- added r2 1u backspace
- may remove r2 esc keys depending on price
- removed pause key in alertless kit (idk why it was in there)
- corrected a key on the int kit render
- improved renders a bit in general
6/14/26: messed up the renders for the last updates, fixed now (wrong keys in extensions, wrong legend for backspace key in base)
6/14/26: orange color samples and removed r5
- color samples for pantone 1505 c came in and im very happy with it, it will be the color used for the gb
- added color sample library with cool, neutral, and warm colors. compared with u9 and l9. also with gmk stock oranges
- changed to r4 from r5, r4 was the popular choice
7/5/2026: we got vendors. and kitting is mostly done. added a dedicated r5 kit proposal (not confirmed so dont get your hopes up)
7/23/2026: numpad vote, still debating on r5 kit
- added vote to see if numpad should be in base. current base kit msrp with numpad is ~$155 usd (subject to change)
- r5 kit is ~$70 usd, price chould push some out despite initially saying they are in for the kit
7/24/26: updated renders
8/4/26: kits finalized and prices
- kits are finalized
- prices for usa finalized, prices from vendors outside the usa may vary
- tkl base and numpad kit
- made renders match final product more (fixed legends)
