Pricing

Quick word on kitting: Yes, there is no way around it, there are a lot of kits, but:

۞ don't let sheer number of kits discourage you, there are basically 14 different kits (40s, Alphas, Colevrak, Ergo, French, ISO, Mac, Modifiers, North, Novelties, Numpad, Ortho, South and Spacebars), if you want a better visual representation of those kits, you can head over to Geekhack; and

۞ alpha + modifiers is enough to cover any standard layout from 60% to TKL, including 65% and 75% (which costs €90 (EU) | £79 (UK) | $87 (NA) | $118 (CA) | $85 (Asia)).

FAQ

* What colors will you be using?
Before you guys check the kits, I wanted to mention the colors I’ll be using here:
White: WS2
Black: RAL 000 15 00

Why not CR just like GMK Monochrome was? Simply because I got informed that it was impossible. I will aim for the darkest black possible (and I do think RAL 000 15 00 is quite nice).

* Why should I buy Monochrome and not Refined?

Refined is a really good set, I've said it countless times and will say it again because it's true. That said, Monochrome and Refined have differences worth noting:
۞ Different whites (WS2)
۞ Difference in kitting:
※ Wider compatibility in Monochrome's modifiers kit
※ Icon Ergo kit
※ Stand alone ISO UK, North, South
۞ Wider choices in Alphas
۞ Different font (which I feel is the bigger differentiating point - GMK vs KAT font)
۞ Different icons (which ties up to the resemblance (or lack thereof) to GMK)

As a lot of things in our hobby, it's all a matter of preference and whether you pick this or Refined next month, you are making a wise choice
