We are proud to present the Type Box 101800 in collaboration with Werk.Technica, the result of four years of design effort,
a 10 macro key plus AT layout keyboard featuring our signature gasket array with a hybrid leafspring and top mount design.
Typebox is heavily inspired by fragments of tech and gadgets I remember from my childhood.
From computers to industrial machinery, from game consoles to command centers, and from vintage design to retro-futurism.
Each influence played a role in shaping the character of the board.
The goal was to strike a careful balance: bold yet timeless, functional yet expressive, minimal without feeling bland.
It is designed to be a tool that both users and designers can truly make their own and use to its fullest potential. Whether
you are a 3D artist like myself, a data analyst, or working in any other field, Typebox is meant to support your creative
process and, hopefully, elevate the quality of your workspace.
The layout remains familiar, but with intentional twists. A tilted F-row improves reachability. Dual knobs allow quick control
of volume, brush size, or any custom function on either side. A built-in USB hub enables fast plug-and-play access without
reaching for your PC. Every decision was made with one idea in mind: giving you greater control over your workflow.
From Zaum :
"The potential for a collaboration was immediately obvious. The design language was closely aligned with what we had been pursuing with
the futuristic yet nostalgic Werk One at that point and quite simply, it was a board I knew I wanted on my own desk.
Shortly after the release of Werk One, the collaboration began. We adapted our R&D around mounting systems and consistent typing experience
to the Type Box design, while evolving it from a conceptual model into a product that could be realistically manufactured. After several
rounds of prototyping and finally having the board on our desks, it became clear that we were working on something truly special." In 2025, one of the Type Box prototypes was presented to the public and received the MYMK 2025 award for Best Keyboard Design. It was truly memorable and surreal.
Though I'm in awe that we've won, I want to take the chance and the time to ask for feedbacks and comments from my local peeps to improve Typebox even further.
We are currently exploring materials and finishes with our manufacturing partner while finalizing the release lineup. What
we can share at this point is that we've brought a wide range of rather wild finish ideas to the table.
We can also confirm that there will be a Legacy variant of the Type Box, exclusive to the werktechnica store. This version
will feature copper components, custom Peach and Moloko Crème aluminium finishes, and a werktechnica-themed artwork on the
bottom case. In addition, we are exploring a limited Wally Patina variant again this time, with plenty of beautiful ideas
we cant wait to share.

PS. For my Arrow lovers out there, the new layout pays tribute to the Apple II M0487. It may not be the layout that modern keyboards may offer, but I love how quirky it is. And of course, I've used it for half a year before my first proto came and I like it very much.
