Introduction*Vam05 is a 40% keyboard with adjustable-hardness gasket mounting, featuring number keys 1–6 and arrow keys, balancing portability and functionality.
It runs on ZMK firmware, supporting both wired and BLE wireless modes, with real-time key remapping available via ZMK Studio (desktop or web).
The PCB is built around an nRF52840 chip, with MX hot-swap sockets and RGB under-glow. It also includes three multifunction indicator LEDs: layer switching, Caps Lock status, battery charging and level broadcast, and Bluetooth connection status.

⚠️ Due to international shipping restrictions, batteries are not included. Vam05 is designed for the HAC-006 (Nintendo Switch Joy-Con battery, 3.7V 525mAh), which is inexpensive and widely available on Amazon and AliExpress.
Design Concept*• Inspiration: The Vam05 layout is derived from Trashman’s v4n4g0n, a 40% keyboard featuring number keys 1–6 and arrow keys, which has been very popular in the 40% community.
• Design Goal: To deliver a modern wireless experience based on the classic v4n layout.
Note:
Due to routing for RGB and the physical size of the nRF52840 chip, the MCU can only be placed in the spacebar position. As a result, the wireless PCB does not support split spacebars. However, the case is compatible with the Monorail and Memoria PCB, which does support split spacebars.• What Sets It Apart: Compact yet fully functional; includes arrow keys and number keys; modern aesthetics with practical indicator LEDs.
• Structural Design: Default typing angle is 4°. The back retains screw holes for optional PC feet, which increase the angle to 7.5° (this GB offers 7.5° PC feet as an optional add-on).
